Sewing Tip: Green Light, Red Light

Simple Sewing Tip for kids (and adults too!):

Kids love to sew but sometimes they feel nervous or unsure about where to start and stop sewing. When sewing a project that requires special sewing instructions, e.g. leaving an opening for turning, use straight pins to mark where to start and stop your seam.

Green and red pins are great visual markers to guide you in knowing where to start and stop your seams. This is a great tip for kids but also a helpful one for adults!

If you don't have green and red pins, you can double up the pins or turn them in the opposite direction to help you know where to start and stop.
