Learn to Sew: Beginner Sewing Series for Adults This 5-week series is focused on developing a solid foundation of skills for independent and confident sewing. Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, develop basic & practical skills, and go beyond the basics by making technique-rich projects! Students will also learn about fabric and a variety of tips & tricks to make sewing fun and successful!

Beginner Sewing Series for Adults is a 5-part series. Each class is 2 hours long.

Dates & Times:

  • THURSDAYS

  • 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

  • October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8

Age Group: Adults (Teens 15 and older are welcome to register)

Skill Level: New to Sewing, Beginner

Fee: $175

Fabric Requirements: Purchase a Materials Kit ($30) or bring your own fabric, see details below.

A minimum of 3 students is required for this class. Registration will close the day before a new series is to begin at 6pm.

SEWING PROJECTS & FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Pillowcase: 7/8 yard of cotton fabric for body, 3/8 yard of coordinating cotton for cuff

  • Tote Bag: 2/3 yard of cotton fabric for exterior, 2/3 yard of cotton fabric for lining, 1/2 yard of cotton fabric for straps

  • Zipper Pouch: 1/4 yard of cotton fabric for exterior, 1/4 yard of cotton fabric for lining, 1/2 yard of fusible interfacing, 9" all-purpose zipper
