Learn to Sew: School of Sewing BEGINNER Series is a series for adults. This 4-week series is focused on developing a solid foundation of skills for independent and confident sewing.

Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, develop basic & practical skills, and go beyond the basics by making technique-rich projects! We will work from the book "School of Sewing"; it is perfect for beginners! As students progress, there may be some at-home prep work.

Skill Level: New to Sewing, Beginner

Fee:

  • $176 includes beginner series, materials*, and book
  • $140 for the beginner series only, does not include the book and student will need to provide their own materials (student can use a studio copy of the book)

Class LocationSew You Studio, 3795 Grove St, Denver 80211

A minimum of 3 students is required for this class with a maximum of 6 students. Registration will close the day before a new series is to begin at 6pm.

*SEWING PROJECTS & FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Pillowcase: 7/8 yard of cotton fabric for body, 3/8 yard of coordinating cotton for cuff
  • Tote Bag: 2/3 yard of cotton fabric for exterior, 2/3 yard of cotton fabric for lining, 1/2 yard of cotton fabric for straps
  • Zipper Pouch: 1/4 yard of cotton fabric for exterior, 1/4 yard of cotton fabric for lining, 1/2 yard of fusible interfacing, 9" all-purpose zipper
