Dressmaking for Kids is for the child who loves fashion and wants to learn more about how to sew clothes! Each month offers a different garment focus and will teach students how to construct garments that include more challenging details and techniques e.g. casings, zippers, facings, pockets, etc.

September Garment FocusTops - we will begin by making a sweatshirt and learn how to embellish; options include appliqué, pockets, fabric accents, cuff options. If time allows, students can make a kimono cardigan.

Skill Level: advanced beginner and beyond

  • September 8, 15, 22

  • 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Age Group: For girls and boys ages 8 and older

Fee: 3-class series is $75

Fabric Requirements: you can purchase a materials kit for $25 or bring your own fabric.

  • Sweatshirt, 1.5 yards of sweatshirt knit fabric

  • Kimono, 1.5 yards of a flowy & lightweight fabric

A minimum of 3 students is required for this class. Registration will close at 6pm the day before the series is to begin.
